Pediatric Advanced Life Support – PALS
Course Description
The PALS provider course is designed to aid healthcare providers with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively and efficiently treat and manage seriously ill pediatric patients. Students will review treatment of the respiratory and circulatory systems, management of cardiac arrest and arrhythmia, and immediate post-resuscitation care.
Target Audience
This course is intended for Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, Medical Doctors, and professionals that must maintain a current PALS card as a condition of employment. This course is strongly recommended for the aspiring Paramedic and RN.

Class Length
PALS classes run for 16 hours for first time students. PALS renewal courses run for 6 hours.
Prerequisite
To participate in PALS, students should have a firm understanding of cardiac arryhthmias, pharmacology, and strength in ECG interpretation. You are required to have a current Healthcare provider card.
